Kari Watanabe


Managing Director | Photographer

In 1994, Kari moved from Tokyo to study Theatre Costume Design at the London College of Fashion. After his studies he decided to enter his family's fashion business and his first task was to introduce the brand to Europe by opening the first UK Yaccomaricard store on Kensington Church Street in 1998.

Kari is the resident photographer and also manages the Yaccomaricard London online store.

Favourite place in London: Regents Park.

Favourite thing to do: Aikido, he is a Shodan grade which is a black belt.

Pauline Sawyer


Wholesale Manager | Customer Care

Pauline has been with the brand since 2004. After completing a degree in textiles for fashion in Scotland, she moved to London and started out on the Yaccomaricard sales floor, now she is responsible for customer care and the wholesale business, covering the UK, US, Europe and the Middle East.

Favourite place in London: The Olympic park in Stratford, a huge space full of wild flowers, exercising Londoners and happy memories.

Favourite thing to do: Exploring Cornwall, running and collecting vintage Kokeshi dolls.

Ken Kawarazaki


Accounting Manager

Originally from Japan, Ken arrived in the UK in the middle of the 2000s where he started his studies for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants exams.

After enjoying working for Regent Street and being involved in different events, he decided to join Yaccomaricard where he is currently looking after accounts.

Favourite place in London: The West End.

Favourite thing to do: Cooking and creating new recipes.

Monica San Pablo


Art Director & Graphic Designer

Monica is a graphic and multimedia designer originally from Madrid, Spain. After a few years working in the fashion industry and gaining experience working across digital and textile graphic design, she decided to move to London to expand her career. After working for a couple of years in fast fashion she decided to change pace and focus on slow fashion.

Favourite place in London: Barbican conservatory.

Favourite thing to do: Painting, pottery and plants, many plants!!
