Inspired by the cloud formations in Hokusai’s woodblock print South Wind, Clear Sky, these trousers are cut to a full, wide-leg profile with a luxurious drape.
Crafted from cotton jersey and single cotton gauze, a fabric with an open and airy weave known for its breathability. Distinctive rows of stitching run down the layered fabrics, and the top layer of the cotton jersey is shorn to reveal channels of tactile raw edges. The jersey is cut on the bias to prevent loose threads.
The base fabric changes below the knee to single gauze, which takes on a deeper garment dye colour. Finished with an elasticated waistband and inseam side pockets.
